Because they arent in Canada (or North America). Its all outsourced overseas.

Big companies would rather pay people from a different country 2 cents an hour than pay workers in their own country so they can save money in the short term .... but it will fuck them over in the long run when the people stop buying their products because they dont have enough money. Hence they are creating and supporting their own demise.

I just never call customer service/tech. support. Deal with it myself, or take it to a local computer repair shop. Fuck trying to understand all that jibber-jabber over the phone. I spend more time going "Huh? Can you repeat that?" rather than getting the problem resolved. Waste of time.

It really won't be they're downfall....I mean, most people will buy the 400 dollar computer at Walmart, then
when it fucks up, they will call customer service and get some dude from India telling the to re-boot.
After they try that and it doesnt work, they'll take it to a repair place, who will charge them 50 bucks to
look at it, then tell them they need a new hard drive that will cost them $120 for parts and $100 labor.
After that, they figure they might as well buy a new one, but, they sure as hell arent going to Walmart, so, they
go the Best Buy, pay 600 for the same computer...little do they know its the same one, from the same company, and
will probably have the same issue as the one before....so the circle will start over...

Moral of the story....

Why the fuck do you have a Dell??????

i have never had a problem with mine,, and its a good 10 years old and running good.

i just wanted to order some ink cart... but could not understand the dumb ass so i hung up,,
i still don't have ink :(

Over seas or in your home land, calling tech support won't fix shit. Trust me, I work for ViaSat which is a satellite internet company that out sources to Sitel, and many others, for call agents. I can go on and on about how much satellite internet sucks and how people just don't seem to understand the technologies' limitations, but anyway. I literally sit next to a bunch of "tech support agents", and I just can't help but laugh at what they call tech support.

Bottom line, if you can't fix it yourself by rebooting it, don't bother calling anyone for tech support. They'll just end up getting your hopes up with a big finishing let down...then order you a $95 service call.

Hmmmm, now that I think about it, tech support agents are kinda like strippers. They get you all worked up for nothing and when everything's done, with great disappointment you find that you're broke.
